Academic and employment statistic

The chart below gives information on different academic and employment statistics for three universities in Canada. 

The table illustrates the statistics for lecture quality, lecturers holding PhD qualifications, course completion rate and graduate employability in Canada. From an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that higher lecture quality at all universities corresponds with a greater likelihood of graduates securing employment. In contrast, the percentage of lecturers with PhD qualifications is inversely related to course completion rates. 

Looking first at Seaford University, the school employs the highest percentage of PhD-qualified lecturers at 50%, with 45% of its lectures being highly praised by respondents. On the contrary, although only 42% of lecturers at Harrison University hold PhD qualifications, this institution registers the highest percentage of highly-rated lectures at 50%. Lastly, Brandon accounts for the lowest percentages of PhD-qualified lecturers and high-quality lectures, standing at 30% and 40%, respectively. 

In terms of graduate outcomes, despite the greatest course completion rate being recorded at Brandon, the University submits the lowest proportion of graduates being hired, at just 72%. Harrison’s students are more likely to finish their courses than Seaford’s, with the former accounting for 78% and the latter 70%. These figures correlate to a higher percentage of graduates at Harrison being employed at 82%, compared to 78% at Seaford.
