Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the amount of woodland area was significantly reduced over the period given, while a large lake became a smaller pond. The area also became more industrial, with fewer residences and various facilities being repurposed, except for a school which remained unchanged.
Regarding the northern region of the map, derelict warehouses from 2000 were reconstituted as a car park in 2009 and an old town below this area was removed in favor of a smaller area designated for offices. The additional space created was utilized to build a university, which was in contrast to the lack of changes to a nearby school. In the western section of the map, an arts center and a residential area were replaced by a multi-screen cinema and a shopping center, respectively.
Looking next at the southeastern region of the map, by 2009, a residential area had been demolished to make space for an expanded industrial complex. This extension also necessitated the clearing of a half of all total easterly woodland. Finally, there used to be a lake in 2000, but after nine years, it became a pond, while the flow of the river remained unaltered despite this change.
