The charts indicate the market share of various computer operating systems on an international level over a period of three years starting from 2012.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that Os 1 gained tremendous popularity overtime and became by far the most common operating system, while the opposite was the case for Os 3. As for Os 2, its market share remained relatively stable, whereas other computer operating systems became less prevalent over this timeframe.
In 2012, individuals were mostly interested in other operating systems as their shares accounted for the largest figure of 48%, followed distantly by Os 1’s figure at 20%. Os 1’s percentage thereafter more than doubled to 47% after two years before increasing slightly to finish at 52% and becoming the most in-demand operating system. In contrast, the figure for other operating systems declined significantly to end at merely 15% in 2015.
In the first year in question, Os 3 represented the lowest market ratio at only 15%, marginally lower than Os 2’s proportion at 17%. Over the following year, Os 2’s data remained unaltered, while Os 3’s dipped by 5% to reach 10%. Os 2’s figure then rose to 18% in 2014 and remained at this level until the end of the period. On the contrary, Os 3’s statistics continued its decline to reach 12% in 2014, followed by a full recovery to return to 2012’s figure.
