The maps show the changes in Liverton docks between 1980 and the present.
The maps illustrate how Liverton docks have transformed since 1980 until now. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that this area has become more residential, with the emergence of an education center, a kid’s playground, and apartments. There used to be ships operating on this river, but now only a ship museum remains.
Looking first of all at a crane located at the bottom left corner of the map, it has been removed in favor of a hotel. A warehouse situated on the same side of the river has also been demolished to make space for apartments and a nearby parking lot. A river walk that extends from the parking space to the hotel has been established for pedestrians. In the past, this river served as a route for ships, it is home to only a maritime museum.
The other side of the river is now accessible through a bridge positioned adjacent to a newly built flood barrier. At present, all the warehouses and cranes that existed in 1980 have been replaced by an education center, sailing club, and a children’s playground, arranged from left to right.
