Mixed charts #3

The charts show the info about the use of the Internet in five countries in Europe in 2000.

The bar chart illustrates the proportions for the populations being active online in five different countries and the pie chart indicates how much money on average each individual spent on shopping online in the year 2000.

Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the biggest figure for internet users was recorded in Sweden, followed by the UK, Germany, France and Spain. For online spending, the UK accounted for the highest number, while the opposite was true for Spain. 

In terms of the population using the internet, Sweden made up the most significant proportion at 35%, considerably higher than the UK at 20%. On the contrary, Spain’s figure was lowest at 5%, which was only half of France’s and one-third of Germany’s. 

Looking at the data for average spending on shopping online, the UK registered the largest expense at 87 euros per person, with Sweden trailing behind at 76 euros. France and Germany’s shopping expenditure was relatively comparable, with the former representing 57 euros and the latter 46 euros. Spanish people allocated the least money to shopping, at only 10 euros.
