The charts illustrate the students’ levels of satisfaction with various amenities at a specific university in the UK in 2007. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that most students were extremely satisfied with all facilities available, with an overwhelming percentage of postgraduates giving positive feedback on the cafeteria. More undergraduates tended to be dissatisfied with school rooms and cafeteria, while the opposite was true for school facilities.
Postgraduates and undergraduates shared similar opinions concerning school rooms, with 63% and 62% of them being very satisfied. 23% of postgraduates were discontent with school rooms, slightly lower than that of undergraduates at 25%, while 14% and 13% of them were quite pleased, respectively.
In contrast, postgraduates and undergraduates had mixed feelings regarding the cafeteria. A considerably higher proportion of postgraduates were very satisfied with this facility at 73% compared to only 53% of undergraduates. The gap between those feeling dissatisfied were also notable, with the former accounting for 11% and the latter 26%. The figure for postgraduates being relatively satisfied with the cafeteria was lower than undergraduates’ data by a small margin of 6%, constituting 16% and 22%, in turn.
School facilities were the only category in which fewer postgraduates felt very satisfied (43%) compared with undergraduates (53%). A small gap could be observed between the percentage of postgraduates and undergraduates feeling satisfied at 32% and 34%, for each. Conversely, a more prominent disparity is registered as the percentage of dissatisfied postgraduates was 25% and that of undergraduates was only 14%.
