The layouts illustrate the differences between one-student and two-student rooms at a specific university in Australia. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the floor plan designed for two students is more spacious, and therefore can accommodate more facilities. Despite the rent per week being significantly higher, the larger room includes an additional bed, a bookshelf, a study desk, and a set of dining tables and chairs.
Looking first of all at the room for two students, it measures 6 meters in length and 4 meters in width, and is priced at 300 dollars a week. There is a double bed, a study desk, and a bookshelf in each room, separated by two cupboards facing opposite directions. Only the bedroom located in the top right corner has access to natural light from a window. Moreover, the bathroom is positioned in the top left corner of the layout, whereas the bottom left space houses a sink, a stove, and a microwave facing bed 2. This area also features a wall-mounted television facing the bathroom, as well as a set of chairs and a table.
On the other hand, although the room for one student is smaller, at only 2.5 meters in width, it is more reasonably priced at 200 dollars per week. A bed is situated in the top-right corner, under a window and next to a study desk, while a television and a cupboard are placed on the opposite side.
