Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that there was a growing interest in news programs as individuals become older, while the opposite was the case for cartoon ones. Those aged from 11 to 15 enjoyed cartoon shows the most, whereas the 15 to 20 and 21 to 25 age groups had the strongest preference for feature films and news programs, respectively.
Cartoon programs were most popular among the youngest age group in question, accounting for 29% of viewers, followed by sports at 22%, features film at 18%, and soap opera at 17%. TV dramas and news programs attracted considerably fewer viewers, constituting 8% and 6%, for each. The 15 to 20 age bracket’s proportions for all categories witnessed a less notable disparity, with the highest data recorded in features film at 23%, then news at 19%, cartoon and sports equalling 18%, soap opera at 12%, and finally TV dramas at 10%.
Regarding the oldest age group surveyed, the figures for individuals viewing news, sports, features film, and soap opera programs were more prominent at 23%, 21%, 20%, and 19% in turn. In contrast, cartoons were the least favorite program with viewership representing only 4%, substantially lower than TV dramas at 13%.
