The table illustrates the proportions of females in the labor force and women working as managers in various countries.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that all countries report higher percentages for female workers compared to managers, with the exception of Australia. The most significant figure for females in the workforce is recorded in Japan, while the same is true for female managers in the US and Australia.
Looking first of all at the data for female workers, Egypt’s proportion is by far the lowest, representing only a fifth of the total workforce. The remaining countries’ statistics are all above 40%, with the most considerable percentage belonging to Japan at 48%, followed by the US at 46%, Australia at 42%, and lastly Sri Lanka at 41%.
Concerning the percentages of women working in management, the US and Australia report the exact and most prominent figures at 43%, each. On the contrary, the data recorded in Japan, Egypt, and Sri Lanka are substantially lower, with their respective figures being 17%, 12%, and 9%.
