The diagram below shows how a chipboard is created from wood and then used to make furniture
The diagram illustrates the stages involved in the production of chipboard from wood and furniture. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the process of making chipboard and then furniture is divided into three main stages. These include logging, processing in factories, and finally conversion into usable items.
Initially, trees are cut down and then trimmed into logs with a uniform shape and length to facilitate subsequent processing. These logs are inserted into a specialized machine from one end and exit as wood chips from the other. The wood chips are dried by another machine, which releases steam from a tube and hot air from vents. A cart is where dried wood chips are stored over the following one to four weeks.
In the next stage, once wood chips are placed inside a container, glue and wax are added to create a mixture. The mixture is thereafter poured into a mould to be shaped into a specific form. Finally, chipboards are produced by pressing, which is later used for making furnishings such as tables and chairs.
